Marie Bernadette “Bernie” Murphy (Robichaud) It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bernie Murphy, of Mount Saint Joseph’s nursing home, Lobban Avenue Chatham. Wife of the late James Michael “Mike” Murphy. Her death occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on September 30th, 2022, at the age of 89. She passed away peacefully surrounded by members of her family after a brief illness. Born in Richibucto she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Emiliene (Chevarie) Robichaud. Bernie was very active in her earlier years enjoying playing cards as well as being an avid curler and dart player. Her work career included being a member of the RCAF as an administrative assistant as well as working at Zellers for a number of years before her retirement. Bernie will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by daughters Patricia Jones (Gerry) Donna McKinnon (Nick) Sons Timothy, Ronald (Aileen) Gary (Cindy). Grandchildren Robbie Murphy, Ronda Guyader, Shelley Jones, Johnny McKinnon, Lynn McEvoy, Melanie Legrow, Kerry-Ann Wheaton, and Trevor LeGrow. Bernie was also survived by 18 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren her brother Earnest Robichaud (Shirley) of Bridgewater |NS, Charles Richard (Annabell) of Fredericton NB. Besides her husband, Bernie was predeceased by her daughter Sandy Ramsey (Derek), her sisters Rosalie Richard and Delima Woodsworth. A public visitation is scheduled for Monday evening October 3, 2022, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.at Maher’s Funeral Home 35 University Avenue Miramichi NB. A mass of Christian Burial will take place at Saint Michaels Basilica Miramichi NB on Tuesday October 4th, 2022, at 11:00 AM. A lunch will be served after the service in the church basement.
