Katherine Mary McDonnell, 105, of St Patrick's Drive Miramichi, passed away on Monday June 5, 2017 at the Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home.
Born in Rogersville, NB., the daughter of the late George & Mary (Butler) Stewart. Katherine graduated from St Mary's Academy in 1930.
She is survived by daughters: Joanne Carroll (Late Glenn) of Nelson Miramichi, and Katherine Tutt (Bob) of Manotick Ontario. Seven grandchildren: Brian (Catherine), Maurice (Janet), Maureen, Donna (Foch), Grant (Marion), Neil (Yvonne), and Tara. Also Twelve great-grandchildren, and three great great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Katherine is predeceased by her parents, her husband John McDonnell, brothers: Doug Stewart (Hannah), Geordie Stewart (Eileen), and John Dolan (Rita).
At her request there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday June 10, 2017at 11am from St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church with Fr Arnie Hachey officiating. Reception to follow. As a expression of sympathy a donation may be made to the Mount St Joseph Foundation or to the St Patrick's Cemetery Fund would be appreciated.
