Gerard Martin, of Losier Hall Miramichi NB formerly of Escuminac, passed away peacefully at the age of 96 on January 29, 2023.
He was the son of the late Micheal Martin and Annie (Daigle) of Escuminac
He leaves behind five children Frank (Carole) of Moncton, Bobby (Debbie) of Miramichi, Anne of Escuminac , Louise (Maurice) and Denise (Roland) both of Moncton NB.
Gerard was predeceased by his wife Laurinda of 54 years and infant son Joseph.
One of 12 children his brothers Raymond (Sylvia) and Arsene (and the late Lucie) Martin will miss him terribly.
Predeceased by siblings Melina, Delima , Ida Marie, Rita , Alvina, Lorina, Anthony, Imelda and Arthur.
Also sadly missed by grandsons Andre and Steven, and great grandchildren Avery and Adelaide, Bradley, and Brayden.
Dad had the spirit of a fisherman and the heart of a proud soldier; he served his country as an honorable man.
There will be no visitation, graveside service to follow in the spring.
