Patricia Marie Manuel
It is with the most profound sadness that the family announces the death of Patricia Marie (Duplessis) Manuel, wife to Edmond Manuel of Baie Sainte Anne, NB. Patricia passed away peacefully January 10, 2023, at Losier Hall, Miramichi NB, at the age of 82.
Patricia was born March 18, 1940, in Baie Sainte Anne, NB, to the late Octave and Marie (Thebault) Duplessis.
She will be greatly missed and cherished by her children: daughters Denise (Dave) Manuel Walters of Baie Sainte Anne, NB; Suzanne (Rick) Manuel of London, Ontario; and Julie Pridham of London, Ontario. She will be deeply missed by grandchildren, Jessica Walters, Travis (Ali) Walters, Emily Walters; Megan (Adam) Guest, Logan Manuel, Liam Manuel; Sadie Pridham. She is also survived by six great-grandsons: Mason, Ronnie, James, Colton, Tyler, and Jack. She will also be missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Patricia is survived by her sisters; Zelia (late James) McIntyre, Carmel (late Adolphe) Savoie, Aline (Therence) Manuel and her brothers; Stanley Duplessis, Ronald (Adeline) Duplessis and Paul (Linda) Duplessis. She was predeceased by her parents, Octave and Marie Duplessis, a sister Rita (late Laureat) Schofield, and a brother, Francis (Lyla) Duplessis.
Patricia started out as a schoolteacher in New Brunswick. After moving to Ontario with her husband, she devoted her life to raising her three daughters. She had many interests, mainly playing horseshoes, darts and sewing. She will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and compassion. She was a friend to all to have met her.
Visitation, funeral at St. Anne’s Church in Baie Sainte Anne, and an interment service in St. Anne’s Cemetery will be conducted in the summer at a date to be determined.
