Capt VA “Bud” Naugler
Vernon “Bud” Naugler, widower of Inez (Peters) Naugler, passed away at Losier Hall on July 20, 2022 at the age of 93. Born in Bridgewater, NS he was the son of Vernon Sr, and Nellie Naugler.
Bud retired from the Airforce after 37 years as an air traffic controller. During his career in the forces he was posted to Borden, Whitehorse, Summerside (where he met his loving wife Inez), Bagotville, France, Edmonton, Portage la Prairie and Rivers MB, Greenwood NS, and Chatham, where he and Inez settled to be near their daughters. Bud loved anything related to aviation. He also loved CB radios, and spent many years calling bingo at various locations, in particular 254 Wing, and the Lions Club in Chatham.
Bud was predeceased by his wonderful wife, Inez; his adored daughter Nancy; his parents; siblings: William, Hugh, and Glennis, as well as many brothers and sisters in law.
He is survived by daughter Heather (Pat) Boyle, son in law Bill Davis (late Nancy); grandchildren: Lindsay (Matt), Stephen (Kate), Erin (Mike), Andrea (Rob), and Laura (Ian); great grandchildren, Abbie, Alexis, Gavin, Zoe, Jonah, Theo, Quinn, Benjamin, Bradley, Launa, Logan, and Charlee; sisters, Cheryl Eisnor and Ruth Baker of Bridgewater NS, as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff of Doyle Court, Losier Hall, for taking such good care of dad. We would also like to thank his amazing caregivers that looked after him prior to his move to Losier Hall. We can never thank you enough!!
At the request of the family, there will be no funeral.
Visitation at Maher’s Funeral Home will take place Wednesday July 27, 2022 from 4:00- 7:00pm. There will be a private graveside service.
As expressions of sympathy, donations made to any local charity would be appreciated.
