Don’t cry for me
I will be okay
Heaven is my home now
And this is where I’ll stay

With sorrow we announce the death of Peter Alexander Fraser December 21, 2021.
Born April 20, 1944 to loving parents, Olive McBride, and Colin Fraser, Peter was the middle sibling of 7. He was predeceased by his mom, and dad in 1992, and 1990, as well as his brothers; Father Andrew (1949-2011), and James (1946-1985).
Besides ourselves; Father John, and Mary, he is survived by his older siblings Paul, and Colleen.
Peter spent his entire life at home with his parents, being a great source of help, and consolation to them. His brother, Father John, and sister Mary were so grateful to him, and admired the sacrifices he made to make their years comfortable with care, and companionship.
Peter was employed with the Pulp, and Paper mill in Newcastle for many years. He was a faithful member of Saint Andrew’s Parish in Loggieville.
Peter was kind, loved to chat, and saw so much good in others. He had many friends, and family whom he met frequently or kept in touch with by phone. He appreciated his weekly visits from Father John, and weekly phone calls from sister Mary. Our trio band was close and special. Now our circle is broken.
To Peter’s friends, and caregivers- he thought so kindly of you all. His past two years spent at Eastside Care Home was such a source of comfort, compassion, and love from all the staff. Thank You!
Peter enjoyed his masses in Loggieville at Saint Andrew’s. Only in past two years could he not participate due to his failing health. Peter struggled with health issues the past few years, and COPD took its toll. We admire his tenacity, and his gentleness.
Father John, and Mary will receive family, and friends at Maher’s Funeral Home on Thursday, December 23, at 2:00pm, ending with a short service at 2:45pm.
A graveside service will be held in the spring.
“Grief is the price we pay for love”
Don’t cry for me, I am where I belong
It was just my time
The angels are with me, to welcome me home
All my pain is gone, and Jesus took my tears
This is not the end; I’ll be waiting here
For you, when we meet again.

Condolences
