Eric Comeau

Eric Comeau passed away peacefully after a lengthy battle with cancer on July 29, 2021, at his residence, 23 King St, Miramichi N.B.
Born in Dalhousie NB, on September 27, 1933, he was the son of the late Emile and Yvonne (Melanson) Comeau.
Eric is survived by his wife, Anne Comeau; his daughter Linda (Alistair) of Red Deer County AB; son Stephen of Miramichi; his grandchildren: Ryan (Melanie), Alysia of Halifax; Alex of Alberta; as well as numerous relatives, and friends.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Jeannine; brother, Bliss; and son Darrell in 2020.
Eric would have been 58 years married on August 10.
Eric was adventurous. He could think of things that no one would think of doing and succeed. He enjoyed repurposing things. He worked at WS Loggie as a mechanic, repairing small appliances, and engines. He later opened his own business, Chatham Marine, selling small engines, and boats. He enjoyed boating, and RV camping.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Maher’s Funeral Home, with visitation on Monday, August 2nd, from 7pm-9pm.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday August 3rd at 2:00pm, with Father Keoughan officiating. Internment will follow at Saint Michael’s Cemetery following the funeral.
In Eric’s memory, donations to the Extra Mural Nurses, or The Hospice Miramichi would be appreciated.
