Raymond Joseph Cripps, beloved husband of Joan Marie Cripps, St. Thomas St., Miramichi, NB, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 90.
Born in Chatham N.B., he was the son of the late Matthew and Mary (McMahon) Cripps. He was retired from CFB Chatham.
Raymond is survived by daughters Mary Raye Crandall, Karen Stymiest, Aileen Murphy, Janet Aube, Lois Bourque, Priscilla Englund, Joan Dawson, Lynn Farrell, Patricia Guimond, and Tracey Ford; sons John Cripps, Mark Cripps, Matthew Cripps, David Cripps and Eric Fallon. He is also survived by 41 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. Raymond also leaves behind brother Louis Cripps as well as two sisters, Priscila Henley and Bernice Leet.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by granddaughter Nadine Aube, grandson Mark Bourque, brothers Benny Cripps, Alan Cripps and Bernie Cripps and sisters Aileen Cripps and Louise Morrison.
Due to the COVID-19 Virus there will be no visitation. A private funeral service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Michael’s Basilica or to the Gerard & Judy Losier Foundation in support of their new Hospice.
