Robert Joseph Bennett of Miramichi, NB passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on Thursday January 3rd, 2019, at the age of 66.
Born in Chatham NB, he was the son of the late Benedict and Helen (Driscoll) Bennett.
Bobby was a truck driver for many years before his retirement. He and Vida loved travelling over the years, especially to warm locations like Mexico and Australia to visit Allison several times.
He leaves behind his special friend Vida Daigle; his two daughters Tara (Michael) Richard of Miramichi and Allison (Andrew) Stevenson of Australia; three sisters: Helen (Peter) Boyle, Mary-Jane (James) Dignam, Joan Bennett; his brother: Brian Bennett and brother-in-law Jimmy Conroy. His five grandchildren Alex, Layla, Carter, Angus and Sally were his pride and joy.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Sharon Conroy.
At Bobby’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family service will be held at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, a donations may be made to the Extra-Mural Program.
