It is with broken hearts that the family of Lorna Duke (nee Manuel) announce her passing on May 23rd, 2018 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Norbert Manuel and the late Vitaline (Martin) Quann.
She is survived by one son: Emery (Crystal) Duke, two grandsons: Emery Jr. and Arthur Jr. four sisters: Nicole (Roger) MacDonald, Mary Manuel-Wilson, Karina (Paul) Dolan and Shelley (Chris) Traer, one brother: Henri, step-father Everett Quann and several nieces and nephews, Aunts, uncles, brother-in-law Mervin Martin for Baie Sainte-Anne and her in-law, the Duke family.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her infant son Ronald Junior (RJ), sisters Yvette Martin and Alsima Manuel, brother-in-law Tim Maloney, niece Elizabeth Maloney and nephew James Martin.
Lorna is resting at the Baie Sainte-Anne Slumberoom in Baie Sainte-Anne. on Sunday May 27, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9, and on Monday May 28th, 2018 from 2-4pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday May 28, 2018 at 4 pm from St Anne Roman Catholic Church in Baie Sainte-Anne.
The family would like to thank Dr. Gerard Losier and the Palliative Care Unit of the Miramichi Hospital for the wonderful care provided to our loving sister during her illness.
