It is with great sorrow that the family of Patricia Helen (Cook) Jenkins would like to announce her passing on Holy Saturday March 31st, 2018 at Hospice Fredericton after a courageous final battle with Cancer.
She will be greatly missed by her children Pearl Jenkins of Fort McMurray, Barb Cook (Reggie) of Black River Bridge, Rick Jenkins (Flo) of Beaverdam NB and Lynn Guitard (Shawn Fitzgerald) of Fredericton. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren and numerous Nieces and Nephews. She is also survived by five Sisters: Eileen MacDonald (Eddie - Deceased), Marge Shurbert (Wayne), Louise Cook, Lorraine Gray (Real) and Agnes Fosheim along with her 3 Brothers Hugh (Shirley), Paul (Myrna) and Brian (Colleen).
Pat was pre-deceased by her parents Archibald and Elizabeth Cook (Sullivan) formerly of Redmondville. She is also pre-deceased by three Sisters: Marie (Carl - Deceased) Murray, Beryl MacDonald, and Jean Stroeder along with her brother Wendall Cook (Brenda). We also had to say goodbye to her sweet oldest Daughter Mary Holland.(John) formerly of St. Margaret's a little over 8 years ago.
She started her career as a Registered Nursing Assistant in Pediatrics and Geriatrics. She then used her nursing skills to provide home care to the loved ones of family and friends. Most will remember her as the smiling face at the Miramichi Mall Lotto Booth in Newcastle where she retired in 2009.
Patricia Helen (Cook) Jenkins will be resting at Maher's Funeral Home Miramichi, N.B. on Wednesday April 4, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 1pm from St Margaret's Roman Catholic Church with Fr John Fraser officiating. In lieu of flowers, it was Pat's wish that donations be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation (www.heartandstroke.ca) and Hospice Houses (www.hospicefredericton.ca) of your choice, especially Fredericton.
