Delcia Marie (Thibodeau) Sweeney
Delcia Marie Sweeney, wife of Joseph Sweeney, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, Miramichi, N.B. surrounded by her family, at the age of 74.
Born October 29, 1943. she was the daughter of the late Richard Thibodeau and the late Priscille Richard.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son: Michael (Barbara) Sweeney; two daughters; Michele (Allain) Sweeney, and Tammy (Robert) Malley. She is also survived by one sister: Anita Thibodeau; six brothers: Leo (Elizabeth) Thibodeau, Joseph (Linda) Thibodeau, Alphonse (Germaine) Thibodeau, Fernand (Francine) Thibodeau, Norbert (Marie-Paul) Thibodeau, and Ernest Thibodeau.
"Nanny" will be sadly missed by her five grandchildren: Karie, Kylie, Kaitlin, Jenna and Sophia as well as six great-grandchildren: Leah, Jace, Bentley, Ava, Nate and Rayna. and her numerous Nieces and nephews, family and friends. She was predeceased by a sister, Irene and brother Adélard.
Delcia was always happy to be in her home surrounded by her family, friends, neighbors and will be sadly missed by all, especially her loving husband Joe.
Delcia Marie Sweeney is resting at Maher's Funeral Home Miramichi, N.B. on Sunday January 21st, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday January 22, 2018 at 11am from St Michael's Basilica with Fr Paul Doucet officiating.
